Call for Annexation Election - Knollwood Subdivision CALL FOR ANNEXATION ELECTION
FOR CITY OF BOULDER, COLORADO
WHEREAS, the City of Boulder, Colorado ("City"), has accepted for consideration
a Petition for Annexation Election for certain property known as the Knollwood
Subdivision, Knollwood Subdivision First Addition, Knollwood Subdivision Second
Addition, and the properties generally known as 150 Green Rock Drive and 2285
Knollwood Drive, Boulder County, Colorado, as more particularly described on Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City, by Resolution No. 1256, adopted at the
public hearing conducted on March 19, 2019, found the Petition for Annexation Election
met all of the applicable requirements of§§ 31-12-104 and 31-12-105, C.R.S., and that an
annexation election was required; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City, by Resolution No. 1256, called for an
election to be conducted within the area proposed to be annexed, as described on Exhibit A
attached hereto, to determine the matter of annexation, and directed the City Attorney to
Petition the Boulder County District Court to hold the annexation election and appoint
Election Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 2019, the Boulder County District Court issued an Order to
Hold an Annexation Election within the area proposed to be annexed, as described on
Exhibit A attached hereto, to determine the matter of annexation, which election shall be
conducted as a polling place election; and
WHEREAS, the Boulder County District Court appointed Heidi Leatherwood,
Barry Baer and Carl Castillo as Election Commissioners to call and hold the election in
accordance with the applicable provisions of§31-12-112, C.R.S., the Colorado Municipal
Election Code of 1965, and any other applicable statutory or constitutional provisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Election Commissioners for the City of
Boulder, Colorado, as follows:
Section 1. The Election Commissioners hereby call an election to be conducted on
Tuesday,July 30, 2019, within or immediately adjacent to the area proposed to be annexed
to the City of Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado, as described on Exhibit A attached
hereto, to determine the matter of the annexation.
Section 2. Election Commissioners hereby designate the following location as the
polling place for such election:
